About the role

We’re seeking a Commercial Planning Manager to play a pivotal role in driving integrated planning, forecasting, and strategic decision‑making across our Consumer business.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Planning & Insights, this role leads integrated commercial planning across the Consumer business, supporting both short‑ and long‑term strategic decision‑making. You will act as the commercial lead for the quarterly budget and forecast cycle, owning key planning assumptions and delivering clear, data‑driven insights. Working closely with Finance, Marketing, Operations and other stakeholders, you’ll ensure alignment across planning and execution while leading and developing a small, high‑performing team within the Commercial Planning & Insights function.
What you’ll be doing:
Develop and deliver integrated commercial plans aligned to AGL’s strategic objectives
Own and continuously improve commercial planning, forecasting, and scenario modelling processes
Translate complex data and analysis into clear insights and recommendations for senior leaders
Monitor performance through KPIs, identifying risks, opportunities, and optimisation levers
Coach and inspire a high‑performing team of commercial analysts
About you:
Proven experience in commercial or integrated planning roles, ideally within energy or a related sector
Previous demonstrated leadership experience
Strong analytical capability, with experience using tools such as Excel and SQL
Solid understanding of market dynamics, regulatory environments, and financial drivers
Demonstrated people leadership experience with a collaborative, outcomes‑focused mindset
