2. What's this role about?

This role entails the Technical Lead to understand the existing on-premises E-commerce OMS and Inventory systems and their day-to-day processes around same, and hence forth provide detailed enterprise level scalable and efficient solutions on migrating same to MACH compliant SaaS OMS Product.

Technical Lead will need to provide continuous support to business and the technical teams in building integration to OMS and Inventory management system using AWS cloud and hence forth strengthening the business capabilities.

This role requires the Technical Lead to be very thorough with NFR requirements when building solutions around such real time data in the cloud.

1. Here's how you'll contribute:

• Serve as Technical Lead for E-commerce Order management and Real Time Inventory management solutions, on a cloud-based platform.
• High level design for migration of on-premises OMS (data, business capabilities) from on-premises to MACH compliant cloud-based solutions, adhering to composability principles. 
• Collaborate with 3rd party vendors for seamless migration of OMS and Inventory capabilities without disrupting existing business.
• Design and implement real time and efficient solutions and oversee all the use case implementations for OMS and Inventory systems over cloud.
• Ensure customer service center solutions are aligned with any changes made for Order management system.
• Design and implement seamless, secure and real time integrations built on AWS cloud between OMS and various 3rd party Fulfillers.
• Design and implement seamless, secure and real time integrations built on AWS cloud between OMS and various 3rd party Delivery partners.
• Provide secure APIs for various channels to consume the OMS and Inventory capabilities over cloud.
• Design data backup, data cleanup strategies over time to manage the OMS Data sizes.
• Collaborate with Data analytics team over tools like ETL, for data extraction in cloud.
• Ensure solutions provided adhere to decoupled architecture principles. Ex- using Pub-sub model.
• Ensure the NFR requirements are met for new AWS cloud-based solutions. Ex- Order Processing Performance metrics, Accurate Order Fulfillment, Order Failures processing, optimal costing, Data security.
• Provide insight/recommendations to optimize existing Order lifecycle, from order capture, fulfillment, invoicing and returns/refund for greater efficiency.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting capabilities to delivery and support teams in any issue related to OMS, Inventory Management systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation, processes that enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure technology standards align with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Skills required to contribute:

Hands-on (Must have) 10+ years of working experience:

• 10+ years of experience with last 5-7 years in depth, and extensive experience of building and deploying OMS and Inventory management systems within an e-commerce ecosystem; on-premises and cloud.
• Experience on microservices, APIs and a deep understanding of cloud-native services
• Core AWS services: Expertise in Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and AWS Lambda for building and deploying serverless functions is essential
• Knowledge on Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC), AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – proficiency with tools like Terraform
•  Amazon API Gateway – creating, publishing and managing the APIs that allow microservices to communicate with one another.
•  
• Proven experience of migrating eCommerce applications from Monolithic to MACH based Composable Architecture, with specializing in OMS and Inventory usecase/integrations.
• Experience with MACH compliant OMS platform like Fluent Commerce, Fulfillment Tools is preferred however knowledge on similar MACH/SaaS systems will also be good 
• Experience in developing event-based solutions using messaging systems or a middleware e.g., Kafka, IBM Middleware, AWS Event Bridge.
• Containerization – deploying and managing containerized applications using services like Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) or Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS).
• Database management – working with AWS databases like Amazon DynamoDB, MongoDB for NoSQL needs or Amazon RDS for relation data.
• Performance monitoring – implementing observability with Amazon CloudWatch to monitor application performance track metrics and set alarms.
• Experience with Oracle e-commerce platform is added benefit.
• Experience in building caching solutions e.g., AWS Elastic cache, Redis, MemCache.
• Good understanding of how an online Ecommerce platforms works end to end.
• Experience with data extraction tools to support business teams. Like ETL.
• Experience in data monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AWS Cloudwatch, X ray 
• Excellent technical, communication, analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Strong client interaction experience.
