What you'll do
As a Core Treasury Manager, you’ll be leading the team in undertaking the valuation of complex financial instruments and handling reserving issues, assessing, and proposing changes to valuation methodologies and compliance statements.
Your role will also involve:
- Supervising financial instrument valuation, PruVal, bid-offer reserving and other financial reporting in line with business requirements
- Addressing valuation limitations through reserve or valuation adjustment calculations
- Regularly meeting with business analysts for Independent Price Verification changes and automations, including engaging with the Enterprise Solutions team
- Coordinating the resolution of all non-standard queries and supporting the resolution of complex queries on processes and methodologies
- Continuously focusing on the improvements, and enhancing existing valuation control solutions, including reviewing independent pricing processes and tools, assessing potential coverage developments, and implementing solutions to enhance control
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for someone with at least nine years of experience, ideally in a valuation control or product control function. You’ll have an excellent understanding of xVA, including FVA and CVA, as well as equity derivative products, volatility surfaces, and interest rate curve construction.
Additionally, you’ll need an understanding of basic statistical concepts, and experience of managing a small team of finance professionals. You’ll also bring experience of working and building strong business relationships in a changing environment.
You’ll also need:
- Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply finance knowledge and experience to a diverse range of financial issues
- Team management experience
- Working knowledge of vendor systems, such as Bloomberg or Reuters
- An understanding of basic statistical concepts
- Experience of working and building strong business relationships in a changing environment
