Job Description
Join our team as a strategic thinker passionate about driving solutions in financial analysis. As a Planning & Analysis Associate, you will play a pivotal role in defining, refining, and delivering set goals for our firm, partnering across the organization to enhance profitability and efficiencies. As a Planning & Analysis Associate within our Finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. Your role will encompass a wide range of activities, including financial control, forecasting, budgeting, and advising line of business CFOs. You will also focus on streamlining processes through automation and process improvement, while assisting with special projects as needed.
Job responsibilities:
  • Manage annual and ongoing financial planning activities for product areas, providing business rationale and decisions for month-end financial performance and forecasting.
  • Conduct reviews and analysis on product financial performance, consumption/demand planning, budgeting, billing, trends, and exception reports.
  • Report on efficiency, analytics, and strategy, including location strategy, span of control, reporting, and analytics.
  • Create financial business cases to support business initiatives.
  • Report on and monitor key metrics, drive data quality initiatives, and help define future needs of the product area.
  • Develop and track performance metrics, create presentations, and provide financial analysis to senior management.
  • Perform variance analysis to understand key drivers of results and present commentary to senior managers.
  • Design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver financial results to senior management.
  • Enhance controls and streamline processes, introducing automation where possible.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance Planning and Analysis or a related finance role.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency in Alteryx, Tableau, and Python for data automation.
  • Proficiency with data mining and manipulation of data sets.
  • Inquisitive, enthusiastic, and diligent, with the capability to challenge peers constructively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record for executing on special projects with little lead time.
  • Highly motivated and able to thrive under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Team player respected as a trusted partner for Business, Finance, and FP&A Teams.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • CFA, CPA, MBA a plus.
  • Experience in Financial Services or an accounting/controller background.
  • Familiarity with broader automation tools and techniques.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
