What's the opportunity?
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to spearhead local payment processing initiatives for international merchants in Chile. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive partnerships and operational excellence in a dynamic and rapidly evolving fintech landscape. What will I be doing?
- Identify and engage potential partners, including acquirers and banks, building strong, long-term relationships.
- Develop and finalize commercial partnerships and agreements, ensuring mutual success.
- Work closely with internal operations, product, and technology teams to align on partnership integration and roadmap execution.
- Analyze results, identify trends, and implement improvements to enhance operational capabilities for local payment methods.
- Stay informed on local regulatory and licensing requirements, ensuring compliance and guiding business decisions.
- Partner with merchants and commercial teams to drive the development and optimization of key payment products.
- Maintain a strong professional network, participate in industry organizations, and attend relevant conferences and events.
- Collaborate with local lawyers, accountants, and tax experts to maintain smooth and compliant operations.
What skills do I need?
- Proven experience in payments or financial systems in Chile.
- Familiarity with payments regulatory framework.
- Significant experience in negotiating and executing contracts and agreements.
- Established a business network in Chile’s financial ecosystem.
- A self-starter who thrives in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with a proven ability to align diverse teams.
- Strategic thinker who takes smart risks based on a deep understanding of partnerships and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Team player capable of leading projects and contributing as an effective team member.
- Flexibility to work across time zones and collaborate with global teams.
- Fluent English.
