As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working closely with team members to apply modern development frameworks and agile methodologies, ensuring that the solutions are scalable and perform efficiently. The engineer focuses on understanding business requirements and translating them into effective software products that meet specific organizational needs, while continuously refining and optimizing the codebase to support evolving project goals.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for custom software development.
- Maintain and update existing software components to improve functionality and performance.
- Document development processes, code changes, and technical specifications to support knowledge sharing.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in understanding project tasks and technical challenges.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Workday Core Compensation.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
- Experience with coding best practices and version control systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex software issues effectively.
- Familiarity with integration techniques and working with APIs.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Workday Core Compensation.
- This position is based at our CDC2A - SEZ location.
