Summary:
Senior Database Engineer to design, migrate, and optimize database solutions supporting global loan products and services. Responsibilities include database implementation support for LoanIQ, Sybase migration and upgrades, SQL query and stored procedure development, collaboration with analysts and developers, performance and reliability optimization, ETL/data integration, documentation, and use of AI-assisted development tools. Required experience includes 8+ years of Sybase expertise, strong Sybase platform experience, SQL/stored procedure development, ETL methodologies, troubleshooting skills, and desirable knowledge of finance/global loans systems and scripting languages.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the establishment and enforcement of development standards to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
- Mentor and support team members to foster professional growth and enhance team capabilities.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication to align technical efforts with business priorities.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Sybase Database.
- Experience in database architecture design and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling and database schema design.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and optimize queries.
- Familiarity with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for database systems.
- Understanding of integration techniques between databases and custom software applications.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Sybase Database.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
