Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical vision and architectural framework of bespoke software projects. This role requires guiding teams through the entire lifecycle of software development, from initial design concepts to final delivery. The position demands continuous alignment of development efforts with overarching business goals, ensuring that solutions are robust, scalable, and maintain high performance. Collaboration across various teams and stakeholders is a key aspect, fostering an environment where innovation and quality are prioritized throughout the project duration.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the establishment and enforcement of development standards to maintain code quality and consistency.
- Mentor and support team members to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software components.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in React.js.
- Technical lead on the Design System component library (React, mono-repo)
- Ownership and evolution of the architectural mindset across the pod - ensuring decisions stay consistent and principled
- Dependency management across the library
- Close collaboration with teams around Base UI, styling frameworks, and AI integration
- Technical stakeholder management - a significant and central part of the role
- Contribution to the AI capabilities roadmap within the Design System (agents, MCP servers, UWR integration)
- Representing the Web platform perspective across the pod globally
- Senior-level React developer with deep frontend engineering experience
- Proven background leading development on a design system or component library
- Strong architectural thinking - not just building, but ensuring others build right too
- Experience managing a mono-repo and library dependency chains
- Familiarity with AI tooling, agents, or MCP concepts is a strong plus ambition to grow in this space matters
- Excellent communicator - proactive, clear, and comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
- Collaborative and globally minded - working across Pune, Europe, and beyond

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in React.js.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
