The Customer Data Manager will be pivotal in shaping the company's strategy regarding customer data management and user identification across our Digital and VOD services. This role involves leading projects aimed at the effective and ethical collection, management, and use of user data to enhance business decisions, improve user experience, enable data monetization, and drive sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the adherence to data protection regulations, integration of technological solutions, and collaboration with business and technical teams.
Role Accountabilities:
- Data Collection and Management:
- Implementing and managing projects related to collecting user data on Digital and VOD platforms.
- Implementing and maintaining robust user identification solutions to ensure precise customer tracking across platforms.
- Building business requirements for data collection and use, conducting business analysis, and mapping customer behaviour across digital services.
- Developing and managing DMP and CDP tools and technologies to facilitate data collection and targeting.
- Periodically review and improve data collection to adapt to new business needs or technological advances.
- Technology and Development Supervision:
- Overseeing the production and maintenance of web and mobile components for user data collection and identification.
- Collaborating closely with the data engineering team to develop and refine data infrastructure to support scalable, efficient data collection and management systems.
- Leading joint initiatives to design and deploy sophisticated algorithms and data-related solutions to enhance customer identification.
- Analytics and Collaboration:
- Integrating requirements between AdSales and Analytics to optimize data collection efforts concerning customer behaviors and identification.
- Cooperating with market measurement agencies such as Gemius and Nielsen for enhanced data analysis and market understanding.
- Liaising with different stakeholders within the organization and external partners to ensure alignment and effectiveness of data strategies.
- Regulatory Compliance and Supervision:
- Ensuring all data collection adheres to legal standards and company policies, particularly concerning privacy and data protection.
- Ensuring that all identification mechanisms adhere to high standards of security and privacy, protecting user data from potential breaches.
- Supervising the collection, storage, and security of personal data, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant legislation.
- Additional Duties
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations pertaining to digital media and customer data management.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field.
- Skills and Competences:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to manage large datasets.
- Expert knowledge of data management principles
- Good grasp and familiarity with Big Data and AI cloud solutions, preferably with a focus on AWS
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and software, and knowledge of programming languages like SQL and Python.
- Familiarity with GDPR and other regulations that apply to digital environments
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within Digital or VOD services environments.
- Demonstrable experience in managing web and mobile data collection and analysis of customer behavior.
- Working with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), Data Managment Platforms (DMPs) or similar tools.
- Working with solutions concerning 3rd party cookie phase out or/and user identification
- Working experience in managing projects integrating cross-functional data collection requirements.
- Previous exposure to advertising technology (ad servers, programmatic platforms) is advantageous.
- Experience collaborating with external measurement agencies (Gemius, Nielsen) will be considered a plus
- Having previous experience in Data Governance projects will be considered an advantage.
- Leadership and Collaboration:
- Leadership skills to direct and mentor a team focused on data collection and user identification.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with multiple teams, including IT, Ad Sales, Analytics, and external partners.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
