Job DescriptionPosition Summary
Hitachi Solutions is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Functional Consultant specializing in Manufacturing (Discrete and Process) and Supply Chain Management (SCM). The consultant will be responsible for leading business process discovery, solution design, configuration, testing, data migration, user training, and successful implementation of Dynamics 365 Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management solutions across global customer engagements.
The ideal candidate will possess strong Manufacturing and Supply chain knowledge, extensive D365 Finance implementation experience, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Solution Design
- Conduct workshops to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Perform Fit-Gap Analysis and recommend D365 standard capabilities and best practices.
- Design end-to-end Manufacturing and SCM solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Prepare Functional Design Documents (FDD), Solution Design Documents (SDD), User Stories, Process Flows, and Configuration.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Technical Consultants on integrations, reporting, and customizations.
- Experience of developing customized solutions to complex business problems
- Demonstrable consultancy experience
- Strong working knowledge of business processes
- Relevant Microsoft certification
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- A logical approach to problem solving and the structured introduction of change into operational systems

Implementation Delivery
- Lead Manufacturing and SCM workstreams through all project phases:
Discovery, Solution Blueprint, Design, Build, SIT, UAT, Training, Cutover, Go-Live, Hypercare Support
- Drive client decision-making during process walkthroughs and design reviews.
- Identify software gaps and propose configuration, extensions, integrations, or reporting solutions.
- Support global and multi-legal entity deployments.
- Ensure adherence to Hitachi Solutions implementation methodology and governance.
Data Migration & Integrations
- Define migration strategy and mapping documents.
- Validate migrated master and transactional data.
- Support data cleansing and reconciliation activities.
- Collaborate with technical teams for integration design and testing.
- Support financial system integrations involving banking, payroll, procurement, project management, and third-party applications.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Prepare test scenarios and business process scripts.
- Support Conference Room Pilots (CRP).
- Execute System Integration Testing (SIT).
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Ensure solution quality and adherence to customer requirements.

Education
- Engineering Degree / MBA / MCA
- Engineering Degree in Manufacturing (will be an added advantage)
Experience
- 4+ years for Functional Consultant.
- 6+ years for Senior Functional Consultant.
- 10+ years for Functional Lead.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant (MB-330)
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Expert (MB-335)
- Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Apps Solution Architect Expert (MB-700)
Preferred Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Ability to lead client workshops and business process discussions.
- Experience in global implementations and multi-country rollouts.
- Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and financial compliance standards.
