Lead the design and implementation of Azure-based lakehouse architectures and data pipelines, while mentoring a high-performing data and AI engineering team.
We are looking for Data & AI Lead – Guindy, Chennai. This is a fulltime permanent position.
What you’ll do:
- Design and own Azure based lakehouse architectures
- Lead modernization from legacy ERP/OLTP systems to cloud native platforms
- Build scalable batch & streaming data pipelines (including CDC)
- Define workloads across Databricks (DE + ML) and Snowflake (Analytics)
- Enable AI/ML pipelines, real time inference, and advanced analytics
- Implement medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold)
- Drive data governance, security, lineage, and cost optimization
- Lead and mentor a high performing data & AI engineering team
- Collaborate with product owners, business leaders, and enterprise clients
What we seek in you:
- 10+ years in Data Engineering / Platform Engineering / AI Engineering
- Strong hands on experience with:
- Azure (ADLS, ADF, Event Hub, Key Vault, Purview)
- Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow)
- Snowflake (warehouse design, performance tuning, security)
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with CDC, streaming architectures, and MLOps
- Solid understanding of distributed systems & cloud native design
