Expertise in Tableau is essential for success in this role.

Key ResponsibilitiesData Management & Reporting
  • Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain interactive and automated Tableau dashboards and visualizations that clearly communicate marketing performance, pipeline health, and campaign results to stakeholders across Marketing and Sales.

  • Data Integrity & Governance: Own the quality, accuracy, and consistency of all marketing data within our data warehouse and reporting tools. Develop processes for data validation and reconciliation across systems (e.g., ensuring CRM and Marketing Automation data align).

  • Data Modeling: Extract, clean, and structure raw data from disparate marketing sources (e.g., Google Analytics, Marketo/HubSpot, Salesforce, advertising platforms) using SQL or other ETL/ELT tools.

Performance Analysis & Insights
  • Metric Deep Dive: Conduct deep-dive analyses on critical marketing metrics, including Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), lead conversion rates, MQL-to-SQL velocity, and campaign ROI.

  • Optimization Recommendations: Proactively identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement within our marketing spend and execution. Present clear, data-backed recommendations to marketing leaders to enhance campaign effectiveness and channel performance.

  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Support marketing managers with urgent, specialized analytical requests related to new product launches, A/B tests, and budget forecasting.

Tool & System Expertise
  • Tableau Expertise: Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Tableau (or similar BI tools like Power BI, Looker) within the Marketing team, driving best practices for data visualization and report consumption.

  • Tool Proficiency: Utilize and integrate data from core marketing systems, including Salesforce (or other CRM) and a Marketing Automation Platform (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot).

  • SQL Mastery: Write complex SQL queries to query, manipulate, and join large datasets stored in our data warehouse ([e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Redshift]).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Data Systems: Proven experience working with data from major marketing platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, advertising APIs, Marketing Automation systems).

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts and insights to non-technical audiences.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or similar.

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene

To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
