Data Analytics - Analyst

Data Analytics Services (DAS) is a key pillar of the Automation CoE within Sanofi Business Operations. Besides data analytics, the wider team’s scope is comprised of Master Data Management, Process Mining & Process Intelligence and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). DAS is primarily responsible for building and maintaining Power BI dashboards in the finance domain.

• Collaborate with peer team and stakeholders to gather requirements and understand data visualization needs. Able to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams. 

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Power BI Desktop and Services. Connect and Integrate data from various sources (SQL databases, Excel, SharePoint, Cloud services) to Power BI efficiently using Power Query and DAX. 

• Develop and maintain complex data models, including establishing relationships, hierarchies, and calculated columns ensuring fast loading times and responsiveness, even with large datasets, write advanced DAX calculations and Power Query (M) transformations to deliver complex business logic and KPIs. 

• Implement row-level security, data refresh schedules, and performance tuning within Power BI reports. Manage data integration tasks, including data source connections and data transformation processes. Optimize report and dashboard performance by improving data queries, data model efficiency, and report rendering speed. Identify and address bottlenecks and resource constraints. 

• Create and manage dataflows, datasets, and apps in the Power BI Service. Publish and share reports, dashboards, app with security standpoint to various business user groups in Power BI Services. Maintain documentation for reports, data sources, and data transformation processes. 

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience and proficient in developing and maintaining dashboard in Power BI and Qlik Sense

• Soft skills: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners and drive process improvement initiatives across an organization. Inter-cultural skills and eagerness to work in a very international setting. High level of Interpersonal/ communication skills with an ability to communicate and present at different levels of the organization. Openness to new tools. 

• Technical skills: Advance level in Power Query Editor, DAX functions, Power BI Development (Desktop), Microsoft SQL Database and Microsoft Excel knowledge. This position is responsible for designing and implementing KPI dashboards to add value to the businesses by improving the business processes and improve efficiencies (e.g., delays in process flow) and compliance violations (e.g., control circumvention) across all Sanofi Business Service Lines. Data Science experience to build business cases for machine learning opportunities. Strong ability to review, recommend and implement technologies and tools. Proven knowledge of applicable Project methodologies (PM Methodology, Agile / Scrum) Proven Master Power BI developer skills (incl. Power Query, DAX, Visualization) Power BI, SQL (for Snowflake data mining).             

• Manage and coordinate projects and stakeholders for ongoing initiatives. Educate and enable the business users to use the data visualization tools. Act as a consultant for any data visualization related topics for the stakeholders. Good presentation skills with the ability to present non-technical details to a technical. 

• Education: Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in quantitative subject (computer science, mathematics, engineering, statistics or science).

• Languages: High levels of proficiency in English
