As a Data Architect Associate within our Operations Team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. We are on the lookout for a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of data architecture and data management best practices. In this role, you will oversee the Data Modernization workstream within the Banking Operations team, ensuring our progress in our Data Modernization journey and collaborating with various stakeholders across the organization.
Job Responsibilities

  • Identify tactical solutions to access the right data sources, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Conduct infrastructure maturity assessments to evaluate current capabilities and support data modernization goals.
  • Collaborate with business-led Data/MIS teams to align on best practices for data management.
  • Implement strategic solutions for data extraction, storage, and system integration.
  • Identify and address patterns of data gaps and issues by working with data owners.
  • Serve as an escalation point for critical data quality issues and identify providers for critical data quality items.
  • Conduct infrastructure maturity assessments for data distribution using mesh architecture.
  • Act as the point of contact for new data tools such as Dex, ThoughtSpot, and Denodo.
  • Ensure a defined Target \"Data\" Operating Model for Banking Operations.
  • Facilitate conversations with Product, Ops Product, Chief Data Office, MIS, and Technology teams, providing an escalation path when necessary.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture (AWS, Snowflake), data management, and data quality best practices.
  • Proficiency in data integration tools and platforms.
  • Experience with data exploration tools (e.g., Dex), self-serve analytics tools (e.g., ThoughtSpot), and data mesh platforms
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to act as an escalation point for critical issues.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Relevant certifications in data management or architecture
  • Prior experience handling Cloud Migration, preferred
  • Experience with cloud-based data solutions and infrastructure
