The Opportunity
As a Data Architect, you will be a key player in transforming the way various teams work with data across all production sites of the Global Manufacturing and Supply Organization (GMS).
With this you will help to improve our product quality and reduce loss while increasing efficiency, which has a direct impact on our ability to serve our patients with vital products.
Responsibilities
- Manage, own, and develop existing and new computer science platforms to design, to analyze and implement complex and new data driven solutions, with an impact on the daily operation of our manufacturing facilities.
- Ensure Platforms are built efficiently, scalable and on state-of-the-art technology platforms
- Ensure pro-active Platform support, monitoring, alerting and technical troubleshooting
- Execute, integrate and guide IT system implementations and changes with diverse technical teams
- Set an ambitious and clear end-to-end technology vision and communicate it effectively to stakeholders, the team, and the rest of the unit
- Use sophisticated analytical approaches and independent judgment to proactively identify and assist in prioritizing opportunities to streamline system integration and IT architecture optimization efforts
- Provide guidance and standards to team members and business partners for solving complex technical changes and implementations
- Follow company and departmental policies, procedures and ensures documentation according to the Takeda Quality Management Systems (QMS), Software Development Life Cycle and Project Life Cycle standards.
- Integrate usability studies and research into technical opportunities to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer focused, state-of-the-art technology platforms
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent,
- 7+ (preferably 10+) years of relevant work experience,
- In-Depth knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases,
- Strong expertise in modern database technologies (Databricks, Oracle, MongoDB),
- Experience with Windows and UNIX based operating systems, maintenance and monitoring (including applications),
- Experience with containerized deployments (e.g. Docker),
- Experience with AWS (S3, EC2, Terraform),
- Understanding of ITIL and Agile/SCRUM methodologies,
- Understanding of good engineering practices (DevSecOps),
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams,
- Oral and written fluency in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with one more of the following analytics applications (Biovia Discoverant, Simca Online, PAS-X Savvy, Siemens gPROMS,
- Understanding of data integration and ETL platforms
- Basic understanding of batch-based manufacturing processes,
- Experienced working in regulated industries, especially the pharmaceutical industry,
- Experience in Computer Systems Validation GAMP.
