Description

About Us

Almost every single thing that you eat, wear, or use (yes, even the screen you’re reading this on) is imported. Freight quite literally moves the world. And we’re helping it move even better.

Freightos (Nasdaq: CRGO) is the global booking and payment platform for the trillion-dollar freight industry. Hundreds of airlines and ocean liners, thousands of freight companies, and over ten thousand importers and exporters use our platform to move goods around the world faster and more efficiently. This matters. Efficient freight ultimately makes things cost a little bit less when you buy them in the store.

As the leading global freight booking platform for a massive industry, we’ve been crushing it with double-digit growth, year after year, supporting well over one million shipments every year.

About role:

As a Data Associate supporting our Air Rate Management team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the air cargo rate database that powers transactions across the Freightos platform. You will combine operational efficiency with strong analytical judgment to ensure customers receive high-quality pricing information while continuously identifying opportunities to improve processes and data quality.

Employment type : Contract (6 months)

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Happy customers mean they’re getting good value from our product. You’ll make sure that customers know how to use the platform by providing additional training post onboarding if needed.
  • You’ll respond to customer inquiries so well that they’ll be sending you flowers next Valentine's Day.
  • You'll be a data warrior, transforming air cargo rates into our format and ensuring they are accurately maintained within our systems so that the Freightos magic can happen. Beyond processing data efficiently, you'll proactively identify inconsistencies, overlapping or outdated fares, potential errors, and unusual patterns, taking ownership of resolving issues before they impact customers. You will act as a steward of our rate database, maintaining the highest standards of data quality and integrity.
  • You’ll also identify upsell opportunities and pass them to the sales team.
  • We’re changing air cargo, but it’s not easy for everyone to change with it. You’ll help motivate customers to transact through the Freightos system. If it takes sending roses and boxes of chocolate, we’ll do that too (increase customer usage and engagement).
  • You’ll maintain effective working relationships with local airlines and GSAs, acting as a reliable partner in day-to-day interactions, identifying opportunities to improve collaboration, and escalating issues when appropriate to support smooth operational execution.
  • Like Weight Watchers, you’ll track everything, keeping the CRM up to date while documenting relevant observations and feedback that support process improvements and the evolution of our operational tools.

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene

To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
