EXPERIENCED DATA ENGINEER - FIELD ENGINEER
We are seeking Experienced Data Engineer or Field Engineers to join our team in India operations.
POSITION
The Data Engineer is responsible for acquisition and analysing of data during the rig operations, preparing logs and reports for the well site geologist, company man. The Data Engineer must have strong communicative skills, as they liaise directly with client representative on-site. As team leaders, Data Engineers are responsible for the wellbeing and cohesion of the surface logging team.
Responsibilities include:
- Installation and maintenance of GEOLOG software and hardware for acquiring and measuring drilling parameters.
- Real-time monitoring of drilling activity supporting data analysis and interpretation.
- First point of contact for the client onsite technical support.
- Generating dedicated technical reports and logs.
- To manage and train all employees in the team, such as Mud Loggers and/or Sample Catchers. Ensure service provided as per client requirement.
- A university degree in Geology / Petroleum Engineering or related subjects.
- Minimum of 12 months in a Data Engineer / Unit Manager position in mud logging company.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Proven, extensive knowledge of rig safety regulations and safety issues.
Introductory trainings on Geolog working procedures and equipment will be provided on joining the company. Experience in mud logging is essential for this role.
