Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Management Analyst
In this role, you will:
- Participate in less complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps
- Adhere to data governance standards and procedures
- Identify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
- Design and monitor data governance, data quality and metadata policies, standards, tools, processes, or procedures to ensure data control and remediation for companywide data management functions
- Support communications with basic documentation related to requirements, design decisions, issue closure, or remediation updates
- Support issue remediation by performing medium risk data profiling, data or business analysis, and data mapping as part of root cause or impact analysis
- Provide support to regulatory analysis and reporting requirements
- Recommend plans for the development and implementation of initiatives that assess the quality of new data sources
- Work with business and technology partners or subject matter professionals to document or maintain business or technical metadata about systems, business or data elements, or data-related controls
- Consult with clients to assess the current state of data quality within area of assigned responsibility
- 2+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, Project Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education
- experience in Data Management, Data Analysis, Data Governance, Data Quality analysis, Risk & Control, or related disciplines, with a strong understanding of data governance frameworks and control environments.
- Knowledge of Risk and Control practices, including RCSA, control assessments, issue management, risk identification, and governance reporting.
- Good understanding of Traded Products, Operations, Risk Management, and data-driven business processes within a financial services environment.
- Experience leveraging AI, automation, and analytical tools such as Power BI, Power Platform, Python, Alteryx, Copilot, or similar technologies to improve business processes and insights.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with business, technology, risk, and consumer stakeholder groups.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in business data quality rule analysis, root cause identification, data profiling, and issue remediation.
- Perform data analysis and support Data Management initiatives by identifying data quality issues, control gaps, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Execute and support RCSA, control monitoring, issue remediation, and governance activities, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated effectively.
- Partner with business consumers, data owners, technology teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve issues, and drive successful outcomes through strong stakeholder engagement.
- Leverage AI, automation, and analytics solutions to streamline processes, enhance reporting capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and support data-driven decision making.
- Develop and present dashboards, Presentations, management reports, and executive updates while demonstrating strong communication skills, accountability, and ownership of deliverables.
