Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Modeller with strong proficiency in Collibra to support enterprise-wide data governance and metadata management initiatives. This role will focus on designing and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models, aligning with business requirements, regulatory standards, and metadata standards within Collibra. You will work in a collaborative environment alongside metadata specialists, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality data architecture and governance across the enterprise landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support enterprise data initiatives
- Map business terms and definitions to technical metadata within Collibra
- Define and enforce data modelling standards, naming conventions, and metadata lineage structures
- Collaborate with Data Governance and IT teams to implement data modeling best practices
- Contribute to the ingestion and enrichment of metadata in Collibra, including technical lineage and business context
- Support migration or integration of metadata from legacy or external systems into Collibra
- Validate model accuracy and alignment with business rules and downstream system requirements
- Propose improvements and automation strategies for metadata mapping, lineage documentation, and stewardship workflows
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Proven experience as a Data Modeller or Data Architect in enterprise environments
- Hands-on experience with Collibra, including data domains, business glossary, and lineage mapping
- Strong understanding of metadata management, data governance, and data cataloging practices
- Solid knowledge of SQL and data warehousing principles
- Experience working with relational databases and cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.) is a plus
- Ability to communicate with both technical and business teams to capture data requirements and translate them into models
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical or highly regulated industries is a plus
