The agency is seeking a strategic data leader to guide a team of experienced professionals in managing and advancing enterprise data assets. This role drives the development and execution of comprehensive data strategies, builds strong partnerships across health and human services, and identifies opportunities for improving Oregon Health Authority’s ability to make human-centered, data-informed decisions. Working closely with the Office of Information Services, all OHA Divisions, and external partners, the data office manager ensures actionable insights, evaluates emerging technologies, and strengthens the agency’s data maturity to support progress toward eliminating health inequities.

Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be reflected in your application for consideration. 

Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience; OR three years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Additional Details 

  • This announcement is for one, full-time, permanent,  unrepresented management service Data Systems and Partnerships Manager position Information Technology Manager 2 based in Salem, Oregon. 

  • This is a hybrid, 10-15% in-office position. In office requirements will depend on team and departmental needs, such as problem-solving, planning, or staff needs. Main office location will be Salem; however, travel to the Portland State Office Building may be required as needed. “Review Section 4: Working Conditions” in the position description (linked above) for more information. 

  • Employment is contingent upon a criminal records check that meets OHA criteria at the time of hire and throughout employment. 

  • The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying range. If the successful candidate qualifies for PERS, the salary range will increase by 6.95%. For more information, see the Classification and Compensation page. 

  • The State of Oregon does not request or require your age, date of birth, attendance or graduation dates from an education institution during the application process. 

  • This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Within three days of hire, you will be required to complete I-9 documentation and confirm authorization to work in the United States.
