Revenue recognition (ASC 606), contract review and guidance, clear communication, researching and articulating technical information to a variety of audiences. 

Role Summary 

The Deal Hub Advisor is part of a small, focussed team, supporting the global business with pre-sales guidance, contract negotiation and structuring, as well as supporting other business initiatives including migrations and new product release.  The Deal Assurance team is a key driver of process improvement in the broader contract review cycle and supports the integration of new products and contract sets that arise from acquisition.  The Deal Assurance team ensures current revenue policy is applied and is in line with current GAAP. 

Job Description 

  • Ensure sales orders are reviewed and signed in accordance with company policy 
  • Ensure month end reviews files are complete, reconciled and documented. 
  • Support and advise commercial teams during pre-sales phase, including contract and commercial structuring. 
  • Support other initiatives, such as new product release, to ensure optimal revenue recognition. 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline global process. 
  • Support education in deal review and revenue recognition, communicating with finance and non-finance audiences. 

 

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

 

  • Confident, strong accountant 
  • Qualified (or qualified by experience) accountant 
  • Good foundation in revenue recognition and contract review 
  • Ability to research technical guidance and document accounting positions 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to leverage systems including Salesforce.
