Insights & Analytics
ZS's Insights & Analytics group partners with clients to design and deliver solutions to help them tackle a broad range of business challenges. Our teams work on multiple projects simultaneously, leveraging advanced data analytics and problem-solving techniques. Our recommendations and solutions are based on rigorous research and analysis underpinned by deep expertise and thought leadership.
ZS's Supply Chain & Manufacturing group helps clients enhance product availability while optimizing costs related to shock-outs, carrying inventory, and supply chain operations. Our team leverages analytics, automation, and process redesign to drive efficiency and resiliency across supply chains. Our offerings span the spectrum of strategy, advanced analytics, planning, and technology to optimize the deployment of resources such as inventory, production capacity, and distribution networks while maintaining high service levels.
What You'll Do

• Design and execute analytical solutions to tackle complex supply chain challenges
• Leverage data-driven insights to help clients optimize supply planning, production, and demand forecasting
• Identify the problem statement and break down into smaller components (e.g., issue/logic tree)
• Own multiple project workstreams (data/content synthesis, insights/findings) and identifies connections and inter-dependencies between them
• Own/develop project deliverables with clear storyline and integrated framework with not only insights and findings, but also key strategic implications and recommendations in topics such as supply and inventory planning, production planning, demand forecasting initiatives
• Design and implement custom analyses in R, Python, SQL, Tableau, or Excel to address client-specific supply chain challenges
• Synthesize and communicate analytical result to clients and ZS teams through presentations and reports
• Develop client relationships and serve as a key point of contact for supply chain planning projects
• Provide project status updates and ensure successful execution of deliverables
• Guide and mentor junior team members on supply chain planning concepts and analytics

What You'll Bring

• MBA with a bachelor's (and often graduate) degree in an operations research, supply chain management, industrial engineering, data science or applied mathematic. Alternatively, candidates may possess a PhD. In lieu of an MBA or PhD, 5-8 years of relevant work experience may substitute
• Experience in supply chain planning, production planning or demand forecasting
• Experience with supply chain platforms such as Aera, o9, Kinaxis RapidResponse, and/or Anaplan is highly desirable
• Exposure to supply chain resiliency, inventory management, and optimization concepts
• Strong problem-solving skill with the ability to analyze large datasets and derive meaningful insights
• Proficiency in data analytics tools such as R, Python, SQL, Tableau, or SAS
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies
• High motivation, adaptability and strong collaboration skills

Travel is a requirement at ZS for client facing ZSers; business needs of your project and client are the priority. While some projects may be local, all client-facing ZSers should be prepared to travel as needed.
