Design Engineer- Upgrades and Rebuilds Filtration

Job Scope:
As a Design Engineer- Filtration, you will be part of a highly-motivated and impactful global Upgrades and Rebuilds (U&R) team which ensures the successful offering to a global install base by implementing best practices. By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in a multinational organization and in an environment involving different cultures and different challenges.
Your responsibilities:

Design upgrade and rebuild solutions for discontinued filtration products where FLS has a large legacy installed base. The technologies include but are not limited to Dewaxing/ SOD filters and Kelly filters, Drum filters.

Analyses complex design problems and conducts engineering calculations for discontinued filtration products.

Capture and control FLS IP of legacy products no longer supported by product engineering.

Maintain and grow the engineering database of legacy products in the central global engineering system, including a full set of manufacturing drawings and manuals.

Own and derive all the internal and external U&R engineering support requests for filtration products in collaboration with product engineering. The products include Disc Filters, Drum Filters, Horizontal Pan Filters, Horizontal Belt Filters, Automatic Filter Press, and Pneumapress according to the agreed SLAs.

Provide technical support to the entire U&R team including Upgrades, Rebuilds, Proposals, and Exchange in all phases of offering L2O, O2O, and O2C.

Collaborate with Global Service Line Managers (GSLM) in developing U&R solutions.

Analyses complex design problems and conducts engineering calculations required in the development of U&R projects.

Work closely with Product BL engineers to ensure that U&R engineering solutions are aligned with supported products and mission-zero objectives.

Develop, adapt, and enhance the U&R engineering design and engineering change management (ECR) processes in collaboration with the BL product engineering teams.

Ensure U&R workflows are followed and agreed SLAs are achieved.

Ensure FLS R&D guidelines and gateways are followed (if applicable) to de-risk the U&R engineering new solution.

Travels to job sites as required in support of GSLM and U&R projects.

Generate monthly, highlighting successes, identifying bottlenecks, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).

Promote a culture of personal and team safety
What you bring:

Product knowledge of Filtration products, preferably Dorr Oliver/ Eimco, Drum, Dewaxing/ SOD filters.

Proficient design experience in Filtration equipment.

Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PLM tools (Enovia).

Ability to interpret the test report & size the equipment.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Mining, Manufacturing, Materials Science).

A professional engineering certification is an added advantage
