Job Summary

The Unified Communications Engineering team is seeking a full stack development engineer delivering quality products who understands the direct impact of their work on the Customer experience. As a Full stack engineer, you will own the design and development of scalable, high-performance applications.. This role requires strong backend expertise in Java, Golang, or Python, combined with solid frontend engineering skills and a high level of architectural ownership.Your knowledge and skills in your own discipline will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products. You will work as a part of a large team to determine work priorities. & act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end system design and development across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers
  • Drive architecture and technical decision-making for complex, distributed systems
  • Build and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Golang, and Python
  • Design and develop modern, responsive frontend applications
  • Lead design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions
  • Ensure applications meet performance, security, reliability, and scalability requirements
  • Collaborate with product, design, and platform teams to deliver customer-centric solutions
  • Mentor engineers and enforce engineering best practices
  • Participate in incident response, RCA, and long-term system improvements

Skills & Qualifications

Backend Engineering

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Golang, and Python
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented designdesign patterns, and concurrency
  • Experience building RESTful and/or gRPC APIs
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architectures

Frontend Engineering (Full-Stack)

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or Prism
  • Experience building single-page applications (SPAs) and reusable UI components
  • Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and browser behavior
  • Familiarity with state management, client-side routing, and API integration

Architecture & System Design

  • Proven experience owning system architecture for large or complex applications
  • Ability to design scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available systems
  • Strong understanding of API design, versioning, and backward compatibility

Cloud, DevOps & Infrastructure

  • Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid/on-prem environments
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, build tools, and release automation
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus

Data & Messaging

  • Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of data modeling, caching strategies, and performance tuning
  • Experience with message queues or streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.
  • Designs new software and web applications, supports applications under development and customizes current applications. Assists with the software update process for existing applications and roll-outs of software releases.
  • Participates in training representatives and operations staff on internally developed software applications.
  • Researches, writes and edits documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and formal recommendations and reports.
  • Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products. Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
  • Provides technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance with regards to practices, procedures and techniques. Serves as a guide and mentor for junior-level Software Development Engineers.
  • Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply, process design and redesign skills. Presents and defends architectural, design and technical choices to internal audiences.
  • Displays knowledge of and ability to apply, project management skills.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
