Job Summary

Responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications. Analyzes, tests and assists with the integration of new applications. Oversees the documentation of all development activity. Trains non-technical personnel. Assists with tracking performance metrics. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure full-stack applications using Python, Angular and modern technologies.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver high-quality features.
• Lead architectural discussions and decisions for new initiatives and enhancements for existing applications ensuring performance and cost optimizations.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality, maintenance and performance.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Proactively identify and optimize application performance and resolve production issues.
• Ensure best practices in Software Development, including testing, and documentation.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tools and practices.
• Ensure applications incorporate secure coding practices and help resolve compliance issues.

Employees at all levels are expected to:

• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack development, with a proven ability to design, develop, and sustain scalable and high-performance web applications.
• Experience in architecting cloud-native applications with a focus on scalability, security, high availability and maintainability.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python, including backend frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django, FastAPI) and RESTful API development.
• 4+ years of experience with Angular, developing large scale enterprise web applications.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and UI design principles.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization of applications for deployment.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS cloud services, including EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, and related components.
• Good understanding of software development best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross functional teams.
• Experience with modern architectural patterns such as microservices, serverless etc.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration tools.

• Good to have Skills:

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Concourse, and GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of other modern front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js is a plus.
• Familiarity with additional cloud platforms like Azure and/or GCP is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies with tools like Jira and Rally.
• Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs.
• Awareness of application monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Kibana, Grafana).
