This is a Senior Manager position at Ericsson R&D Chennai where you get to work with a team of highly motivated engineers in delivering Ericsson's Exposure portfolio. Ericsson Core Network Exposure solutions provide standardized and Ericsson innovative APIs to expose an operator's key 5G core network capabilities to their ecosystem partners.
Within PDG Exposure, Agile methodology and philosophy are practiced in spirit. A relatively flat system of cross-functional teams reporting into line managers who then report to a Product Development Group (PDG) Head. This position is that of a line manager who would be responsible for leading a set of cross-functional teams comprising design and test engineers. A successful candidate must have experience working effectively with seasoned professionals and must also enjoy the aspects of mentoring, coaching and growing the relatively younger workforce.
An Ideal Candidate would possess the following:- ~15 years of overall Core network product development experience with a minimum of 5 years in a people manager role- Strong result orientation and finds it stimulating to work with change management and teamwork/cooperation across the organization.- Experience of working in a leadership team. Find it stimulating to work with teamwork, have a genuine interest in people and be a good communicator. You should also have the ability to work across organizational boundaries.- Strong leadership and coaching skills in line with Ericsson core values.- Interest and good understanding of R&D and the concepts of Lean and Agile ways of working.- Large degree of flexibility and willingness to change and to take on different tasks.- Business and customer focused with a high accountability to deliver results.- Drive and deliver high quality features on time enabling Ericsson to smoothly deploy targeted solutions in their customer networks- Build and grow cross-functional teams towards end-to-end product capabilities- Ability to work effectively and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment- Engage with and represent the team in discussions with key stakeholders including product managers, program managers, stakeholders from other nodes that make the larger solution, etc.- Mentor and coach team members to realize their maximum potential while scaling your own peaks along the way- Maintain the fine balance of solving most day-to-day problems of the team while also having a keen sense of when to escalate for swifter resolution and action- Demonstrated ability to bring in product innovations of significant business value- Prior experience in network function and Cloud Native evolution is a pre-requisite- Creative problem-solving skills and excellent troubleshooting skills- Solid work ethic, customer focus, team player with passion for delivering world class solutions- Strong written and verbal communication- B.Tech degree in CS/EC/EE or related studies. M.Tech degree in a plus
