Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position is for a DevOps Engineer who will be supporting our CI/CD Infrastructure and other configuration management activities. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
  • Develop and integrate new tools to support CI/CD (continuous integration/delivery) and reporting across projects in various environments like on-premise, Cloud (Azure).
  • Develop and maintain well architected build scripts and Integrate new tools/plugins to support CI/CD (using Jenkins).
  • Collaborate with software development and IT to improve build pipeline.
  • Support source code management tools like RTC/GIT for several teams of 60+ software developers overall.
  • Support deployment activities using containers (Docker), RPM and/or full desktop install through InstallShield.
  • Monitor and support daily Builds and timely release of Hotfix packages.
  • Manage build environment through configuration management tool/system.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps engineering.
  • Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of source repository administration with tools like GIT-Hub, RTC or Azure.
  • Strong scripting language experience in one or more - Perl, PowerShell, command script, Python, Groovy.
  • Experience of Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins/Bamboo for pipeline management.
  • Experience with Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and Cloud (on-premise/Azure/AWS) technologies.
  • Strong experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Puppet, Ansible, Chef).
  • Working knowledge of Build Releases in various languages, like C/C++/C#, Java, python in continuous integration environment. An Advantage.
  • Experience with artifact tool (JFrog, Nugget, Nexus).
  • Working knowledge of tools like static/dynamic code analysis (e.g. SonarQube, Coverity, code review, etc..) and how to integrate with code base.
  • Act as a subject matter expert.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years
