We are searching for a Customer-Facing DevOps Engineer who enjoys working with cutting-edge technologies and solving complex deployment challenges. This role requires expertise in Kubernetes and cloud computing, strong automation skills, and a customer-centric mindset. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, excels at troubleshooting, and is passionate about helping customers achieve success with DataRobot.
Key Responsibilities:Deploy the DataRobot platform into customer-managed Kubernetes environments, including VPCs and true on-premises deployments, as long as they adhere to CNCF-compliant Kubernetes standards.
Design and implement infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform to streamline deployments and ensure reliability.
Collaborate directly with customers to address technical challenges, troubleshoot complex environments, and ensure seamless integration of the DataRobot platform.
Handle escalated support cases from internal support teams, serving as a subject matter expert for customer deployments.
Work closely with engineering and product teams to identify and resolve deployment-related issues.
Create and maintain documentation and knowledge base articles to empower customers and internal teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in customer-facing DevOps, systems engineering, or a related role.
Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deploying and managing CNCF-compliant environments.
Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud deployments.
Expertise in infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Helm, and Ansible.
Proficiency in Linux administration, enterprise networking, and containerization (Docker).
Ability to monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes-based applications, read system logs, and identify issues.
Strong Python scripting skills for automation and debugging purposes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical audiences.
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Will be required to achieve within first 6 months of employmentExperience supporting AI, machine learning, or data science platforms.
Knowledge of Mongo, Postgres, and Redis database management and optimization.
