The DevOps Engineer will analyze integration needs, implement and document solutions, support production issues, and enhance operational readiness while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
About the Role
We are looking for a software engineer who specializes in the Java/JVM platform to join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. You will be responsible for analyzing integration requirements for our clients, implementation, operation, and documentation for the platform. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders across Morningstar Technology, Data, Products, Sales/Service, and Research. We want to work with other engineers who bring knowledge and excitement about working with us. This position is based in our Mumbai office.
Job Responsibilities• Take ownership of the IAM product with a "gets things done" attitude.• Analyze and remediate production issues and build instrumentation and operational readiness into the systems architecture.• Build and maintain well designed, well-engineered, stable, scalable products across a variety of markets.• Maintain architectural direction, security and quality standards in your designs.• Enforce good Agile practices (using JIRA) including test-driven development and continuous integration.• Apply DevOps practices in area of continuous and automated deployment.• Help to shape product vision.
Qualifications• Completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.• Minimum of 3 years of experience developing software solutions, preferably in a Unix environment.• Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills.• Organized and able to remain productive even when you have multiple deliverables.• Ability to understand and leverage new technologies, potentially wearing many hats including business analyst, DBA, QA, and project manager.• Passionate about quality, process, programming, and investing in general, seeing opportunities for improvement, seizing them, and then sharing your findings with others.• Understanding of how to protect web applications from common security vulnerabilities.• Experience supporting software products serving over 100M monthly requests.• Experience with cloud computing (preferably AWS)• Experience with DevOps tools (e.g. CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, Splunk, Git, Jenkins).• Experience with modern development practices in areas of product design, requirement analysis, test driven development, and test automation• Experience in Java, Spring Boot, JUnit, Maven, XML, JSON, Tomcat, IDEA/Eclipse is preferred.• Experience with Agile methodology and tools like Jira.
Nice to Haves• Experience full-stack web development is preferred.• Experience with functional programming concepts & reactive design would be a plus.

One position for morning shift and other position in second shift.
