Job Description

As a Director of Infrastructure Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Enterprise Technology team, you will oversee either a significant area or several smaller ones, utilizing your advanced technical expertise to address complex challenges. You will exercise independent judgment within established guidelines and parameters to decide on the best course of action. As the Identity and Access Management Engineering Director, you will lead a team tasked with designing, developing, testing, and implementing the firm's Authentication and Authorization solutions across our estate
Job responsibilities
  • Manages and Leads the work of infrastructure engineers - systems, infrastructure & vendor software development.
  • Drives and contributes to the development of the Authentication technology roadmap.
  • Serves as the lead engineer in product design, project management, delivery and transition to operations.
  • Be responsible for technical engagement with audit, regulators, clients, and third parties when required.
  • Mentors and coaches junior engineers and technologists. Provides technical supervision, oversight, and problem resolution for engineering activities in the absence of the Head of Identity Authentication and Authorization Technology
  • Develops and executes quality control of engineering deliverables.
  • Supports program planning, vendor management, metrics collection, and scheduling

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
  • Proven ability/experience around people management on globally distributed teams
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills by coaching junior managers and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manage critical global technology initiatives, demonstrating strong project management skills with attention to detail and effective solution development.
  • Strong ability to articulate details effectively and provide comprehensive statistics and overview presentations for senior managers.
  • Adept at organizing, managing skip level meetings, and ensuring effective communication across various teams and stakeholder.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams of infrastructure engineers
  • Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
  • Extensive knowledge of hardware aligned to infrastructure engineering
