The role is responsible to adapt, maintain and continually improve the policies, programs and requirements for environment, health, safety, and well-being (EHS) within Ericsson. Driving to create a sustainable safety culture and promoting employee well-being are part of the responsibility across Mexico and assigned BA.
The EHS Manager enables consistent EHS governance, data-driven decision-making, and continual improvement, ensuring employees can thrive, perform at their best, and return home safe and well every day.
Responsibilities & Outcomes
  • Contributes to internal and external reports, audits, assessments and EHS and well-being programs and campaigns.
  • Supports Ericsson's EHS leadership by contributing to solving complex issues, developing solutions and information for decision making.
  • Supports EHS strategy execution, governance, processes, and drives continues improvements.
  • Follows up target performance, identifies deviations, and proposes corrective actions.
  • Contributes to competence and development.
  • Supports EHS legislation monitoring.
  • Coordinate and participate in EHS governance forums and safety committees, ensuring effective communication, training, engagement, and required documentation.
  • Drive the effectiveness and maturity of the EHS Management System, ensuring alignment with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 and Ericsson global governance.
  • Proactively identify EHS risks and opportunities.
  • Lead and support incident investigations, including serious incidents, ensuring high-quality root cause analysis, learning, and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Support digitalization, automation, and AI-enabled initiatives to improve efficiency, consistency, and execution of EHS programs.
  • Coordinate emergency bridges and ensure compliance with applicable NOMs and Fire Department regulations.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required to support EHS business operations

Qualifications (Required)
  • Industrial Engineering or related field, with valid professional license (cédula professional).
  • Demonstrated ability in interpretation and compliance verification of the following Mexican regulations:
    • Federal Labor Law (Ley Federal del Trabajo) and its Regulations
    • Official Mexican Standards (NOMs) issued by STPS, SEMARNAT, and PROFEPA
    • Federal Regulation on Occupational Safety and Health (Reglamento Federal de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo - RFSST)
    • General Law of Ecological Balance and Environmental Protection (LGEEPA) and its Regulations
    • General Law for Prevention and Comprehensive Waste Management (LGPGIR) and its Regulations
    • General Civil Protection Law and its Regulations
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within Environmental, Health, Safety, and Well-Being roles.
