Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced ElasticSearch Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract (extendable). You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-grade search infrastructure to deliver high-performance, scalable, and intelligent search experiences. This role requires strong expertise in ElasticSearch, as well as hands-on development experience in Java and Spring Boot microservices.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain scalable search solutions using ElasticSearch.
Develop and integrate Java-based Spring Boot microservices to support search functionality.
Optimize search performance, scalability, and relevance across diverse and complex datasets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective search strategies.
Build and manage indexing pipelines, crawling mechanisms, and data transformation workflows.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure reliability and low-latency search infrastructure.
Stay updated on the latest search technologies, ElasticSearch features, and industry best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3–5 years of hands-on experience with ElasticSearch in production environments.
Strong understanding of search algorithms, relevancy tuning, and query optimization.
Proven experience in Java and Spring Boot microservices development.
Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, Java, or JavaScript).
Experience with data indexing, crawling, and ETL processes.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setup.
