Job Description: Bridge the physical and the digital world! Join us in developing and optimizing cutting-edge embedded systems that power our innovative products. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and integrate hardware and software solutions that deliver exceptional performance and reliability. This role involves developing and maintaining embedded software for Analog Devices' extensive product portfolio. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions for embedded systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable embedded software for various hardware platforms.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration with hardware components.
  • Develop and implement software for real-time operating systems (RTOS) and bare-metal environments.
  • Contribute to code documentation and the creation of software user guides. 
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Help optimize software for performance, memory usage, and power consumption.
  • Learn and apply best practices in software development and debugging.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic proficiency in embedded software development, with basic understanding of C/C++ programming languages.
  • Basic microcontrollers and microprocessors software development skills.
  • Basic knowledge of hardware communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Git for version control.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with FPGA development and firmware programming.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and automated testing tools.
  • Experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and bare-metal programming at least in school projects.
  • An active portfolio or repositories showing past and present projects.
