Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Define, execute, verify and document Business & System requirements into positive & negative test cases using Test Case design techniques
  • Collaborate with software/systems (i.e., Front-end/Backend Platforms) in testing Enhancements/Incidents across regions by performing such as system, unit, regression, and acceptance testing methods.
  • Spreading expertise and good usage of tools such as bug-tracking database or versioning systems (Ex: QC, JIRA etc. in the industry)
  • Good knowledge on Functional Automation(Selenium, Python) and Database testing.
  • Identify defects unambiguously and track these defects through the test lifecycle to resolution with established Bug Life Cycle.
  • Understand the data culture associated and the impact on the different UI applications and workflows along with backend data validations.
  • Hands on writing clean code quickly in languages like Java, Python and code review techniques.
  • Test and Behavior Driven Development, Cucumber Framework, CI/CD Integration with Industry tools Jenkin, Bamboo etc.
  • Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to Project managers during Project/Test Life Cycle (Well verse with Agile Methodology on projects execution)
  • Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet the business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements with Quality.
  • Able to group of team members and emphasize/Encourage the teamwork. Prepare the team for the change.
  • Test Metrics ( On daily basis)
  • Work in UK Shifts preferred and NA shift on need basis.

Work Experience / Knowledge: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related discipline is highly desired
  • 3-5 years of quality management and testing experience
  • Understanding of the Asset Management industry, funds products and process are desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience with testing software and tools
  • Ability to create and enhance automation test frameworks/environments
  • Solid knowledge of Python scripting language and common framework (Pytest)
  • Experienced in both waterfall and agile project delivery methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
  • Experience with onshore/offshore QA team model, highly desired

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:

  • Action oriented, independent with the ability to drive quality deliverables with minimal supervision
  • Ability to plan and execute testing – unit, component, system, integration, regression, and UAT
  • Strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, clients and vendors
  • Ability to manage conflict and difficult situations
  • Proven ability to work with people across geographies
  • Strong negotiating, facilitation, influencing and persuasion skills
  • Ability to collaborate with, influence, support and guide project test teams
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities, Strong interpersonal skills
