The Engagement Management Analyst team partners with our engagement management office, Sales Executives and Sales Leaders to provide support through the sales process and ensuring smooth and effective operations. They strive to ensure the Provider Growth organization can maximize their time selling by implementing effective sales processes, optimizing existing processes and working in alignment with matrix partners to address customer needs & fulfill OptumInsight's growth objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Optum Provider Growth Deal Support - Partner with Solution Sales Executives to support business activities and sales cycle around deals
    • Manage deal support request form to field incoming requests and triage accordingly
    • Partner with Solution Sales Executives to assist with ad hoc deal support requests
    • Promote consistent process and ensure standards for deal flow are met when assisting with all requests
    • Provide tactical support around deals including client materials, process adherence, and working with internal teams
    • Facilitate internal navigation and timely execution from matrix partners supporting the deal, at key milestone points within the deal cycle
    • Collaborate on Salesforce process; serve as SME representative for the Sales & Market Teams
  • Origination and Engagement Support: - Optimize existing sales processes and remove barriers to success to ensure Sales team members are set up for success.
    • Completion of Sales team requests through the Provider Support Inbox including Client Profiles, ContractHub requests, external document support.
    • Support pursuit planning and strategy by leveraging resources including opportunity plans and close plans for key deals.
    • Salesforce data hygiene
    • Subject matter experts on enterprise initiatives and steward of associated resources, tools, best practices and methodologies
    • Attendance and support for deal scoping calls; support of deal dashboard & coordination for outlying or unresolved steps
    • Analyze and evaluate the current sales processes, identifying inefficiencies, barriers or gaps and suggest improvements with specific timelines
    • Create and monitor product process consistencies to help in driving a more effective approach of the sales process
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience, sales, client management, client support or market research experience
  • 3+ years operating within Salesforce
  • Experience working in a matrixed team environment
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Salesforce
  • Demonstrated solid customer service ethic
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and listening skills
  • Proven excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Background working in the US healthcare industry
  • History of bid management & RFP support or sales operations
  • Proficient in SmartSheets
