What We'll Bring:

TransUnion Consumer Interactive (TUCI), a wholly owned subsidiary of TransUnion, is looking for a .Net Engineer. TUCI builds credit monitoring web services for consumers, like you. Typically these applications allow a consumer to view their credit report, credit score, receive credit alerts, lock their credit to prevent fraud, and simulate a credit score based on various parameters.
Candidates should have a solid grasp of web development processes and procedures in the building and consuming of web services.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to interface with development engineers, database engineers, quality control professionals, architects, scrum masters and product owners.

What You'll Bring:

How you’ll Contribute:
Development: Primarily focused on .Net web services, Windows services and console applications
• Writing code to product requirements and acceptance criteria
• Maintaining and reviewing code written by other developers
Test Planning & Execution: Writing and executing test cases for testing of new product requirements and any production software or system/platform changes.
• Writing and executing web service test cases related to the back-end testing of new product requirements.
Defect Management and Investigation: Be able to troubleshoot code, exceptions and connectivity issues
• Reading error log messages related to the applications under test to support defect investigation.
• Writing defects, including steps to reproduce including applicable supporting documentation, such as log error messages or screen shots.
Automation: Enhancing and maintaining automation processes
• Broaden and maintain scope of daily regression and smoke testing
• Expand continuous testing jobs
• Enhance and maintain build pipeline jobs within Azure DevOps

Impact You'll Make:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or a combination of work and educational experiences that demonstrates experience writing customer facing websites/applications.
• 5+ years of experience in application development (.Net C#) with exposure to high availability, data driven applications
• Experience programming primarily in .Net (C#, WCF) with knowledge of Java being a plus
• Experience developing and consuming SOAP and REST web services along with a variety of security mechanisms for authentication and authorization
• Experience with Relational Databases and SQL programming in Oracle DB.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and should be able to function independently as a team member.
• You’ll write efficient and maintainable code based on technical guidelines, design documents, and industry best practices
• You’ll implement unit tests for software application modules
• Experience with code repository, such as SVN, in a team environment
• Experience with ReadyAPI is a plus
• Familiarity with JIRA for defect management. Agile methodology knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with Splunk, Grafana and Spotfire for defect investigation/verification, is a plus.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
