The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our IT infrastructure across a complex global environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Cisco-based network solutions, including routing, switching, and wireless networks.
- Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Utilize Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control and security policy enforcement.
- Manage and optimize network performance using Cisco Catalyst Center.
- Implement and manage common network technologies, including VLANs, VTP, BGP, SD-WAN and Spanning Tree.
- Design and deploy wireless networks, including performing wireless surveys to ensure optimal coverage and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Monitor network performance and security and implement necessary improvements.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to support and enhance the overall network infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in network technologies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco routing, switching, and wireless networks.
- Strong experience with Cisco ISE and Cisco Catalyst Center.
- Proficiency in common network technologies such as VLANs, VTP, BGP, SD-WAN, Spanning Tree.
- Strong experience with network design, implementation, active and passive network components like transceivers, Ethernet cables, fiber cables.
- Experience with designing and deploying wireless networks, including performing wireless surveys.
- Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Skills:
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Fortinet firewalls.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management.
