Group/Division

The ICOS Vision Systems division focuses on the backend of the line semiconductor industry providing fully automated tools to inspect and sort, finished integrated circuit packages. For more than 15 years, ICOS has been a market leader with tray-to-tray and tray-to-tape inspection and sorting tools found in the production facilities of all major chipmakers in the world. Our market-leading technology and superior customer service requires strong talent in optics, machine control, algorithms and applications within our engineering teams. The ICOS division headquarters are in Leuven, Belgium with additional engineering and manufacturing operations in Singapore and Shenzhen (China).

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The ICOS Division of KLA’s Global Products Group provides inspection and metrology tools  for advanced packaging in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing. Its mission is to deliver market-leading cost of ownership in defect detection and metrology for a broad range of applications in the production of semiconductors. Customers from the advanced packaging and other markets rely upon accurate metrology and high performance  inspection information generated by ICOS products. ICOS Component Inspector systems enable high throughput Inspection and Metrology of singulated semiconductor packages or substrates for the industry’s most sophisticated semi-conductor package Assembly and Test  processes.  ICOS W2T  (Wafer-to-Tape) systems deliver die inspection and  high-speed sorting that are critical for advanced packaging processes. ICOS Zeta systems provide very accurate Metrology capabilities for characterizing critical features of Wafers and Panels . ICOS  operates from a global footprint that includes the US, Singapore and India, and serves a worldwide customer base across Asia, Europe and North America.

Its mission is to deliver market-leading cost of ownership in defect detection and metrology for a broad range of applications in the production of semiconductors. Customers from the foundry, logic, memory, automotive, MEMS, advanced packaging and other markets rely upon inspection and metrology information generated by ICOS  products.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting ICOS  inspection and metrology products.
  • Facing the customer to demonstrate product performance, both in-house (at Leuven, Belgium campus, or at Singapore campus) and at customer facilities (at various locations worldwide).
  • To prove technical superiority of KLA tools over competitor tools at customer sites
  • To work closely with many organizations, including the local team, engineering, marketing and software teams within KLA and with customer engineers outside KLA.
  • To lead the technical expertise of the local application engineers and the new use case developments
  • To track all critical projects in real time and to update the division with proper tracking updates
  • Involved with development & characterization of next generation products. 

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years
