The Engineering Team Leader will establish test methodologies, manage test environments, and implement defect tracking systems for automotive embedded systems while leading a testing team.
Major Accountabilities:
- Establish test methodologies, procedures, and standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define test cases, execute test plans, and validate system functionality and integrity.
- Manage the setup and configuration of test environments, including hardware, software, and communication interfaces, to support validation and verification activities for automotive embedded systems.
- Coordinate with development teams to ensure the availability of required test resources, tools, and equipment, facilitating efficient and effective testing processes.
- Implement defect tracking and management systems, overseeing the recording, tracking, and resolution of software defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Utilize defect tracking tools and platforms to prioritize and assign defects, monitor defect resolution progress, and communicate status updates to relevant stakeholders
Authorities
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in automotive communication protocols, such as CAN, LIN, and FlexRay, to ensure the accurate and reliable exchange of data between electronic control units (ECUs) within vehicle systems.
- Define communication protocol testing strategies, develop test scenarios, and execute validation tests to validate protocol compliance, interoperability, and performance.
- Establish quality control processes and measures to assess and ensure the quality and reliability of software and systems, adhering to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
- Conduct quality audits, reviews, and inspections, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective and preventive actions to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Manage human and technical resources within the testing and validation team, including staffing, training, performance evaluation, and professional development, to build and maintain a high-performing and motivated team.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and deliverables, balancing workload, skills, and capabilities to optimize team productivity and efficiency.
