Job Description Summary

This role is responsible in assisting implementing and monitoring Environment, Health & Safety systems across the project site. Acting as the on-site safety representative, the role ensures compliance with statutory regulations, project-specific EHS plans, and investor safety standards. Key responsibilities include daily safety supervision, conducting toolbox talks, enforcing PPE compliance, reporting hazards or incidents, and coordinating with contractors and the EHS Manager to promote a strong safety culture and maintain a zero-incident environment throughout design.

About the Role:

  • Implements and monitors C&W’s EHS policies, procedures, and statutory compliance requirements at site level.
  • Conducts daily site inspections, identifies unsafe practices, and ensures immediate corrective actions.
  • Organizes toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Verifies that all personnel follow PPE requirements, work permits, and method statements before work execution.
  • Monitors high-risk activities such as excavation, scaffolding, electrical work, and lifting operations to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Assists in incident and near-miss investigations, prepares reports, and ensures corrective and preventive measures are implemented.
  • Maintains EHS documentation including inspection checklists, registers, permits, and training records.
  • Coordinates with contractors for regular safety audits and ensures closure of non-conformities within agreed timelines.
  • Supports waste management, pollution control, and environmental protection initiatives at site.
  • Ensures proper display of safety signage, barricading, and emergency preparedness measures on-site.
  • Reports daily EHS observations, KPI performance, and compliance status to the EHS Manager for review and reporting to the client.
  • Implements and monitors C&W’s EHS policies, procedures, and statutory compliance requirements at site level.

About You:

  • B.E. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, institutional, and industrial projects.
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and compliance (e.g., OSHA, Factory Acts, local environmental laws).
  • Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and corrective action implementation.
  • Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs.
  • Familiarity with safety audits, permits, and site inspections.
