The 5G Baseband software development team has multiple positions to fill. They include:
Develop and contribute to new traffic test coverage into Ericsson test engine. Feature analysis/code review/soaking/documentation, lab readiness and timely handover to the testing loops are just some of the tasks involved.
Assist in the definition of the integration, verification, and release of new lab builds which supports Ericsson test strategies
Support the robustness of the 5G mobile network through continuous automated testing of the 5G features. Execute resolutions to failures, via troubleshooting, escalation, collaboration and reporting progress for the eventual solution.
What you will do:
Developing/coding automated 5G test cases; automated test tools capabilities
Developing real-time 5G base station software
Developing and supporting software build and integration tools
Troubleshooting and helping to resolve issues with the test environment
Working with a team, and on your own, to perform software integration testing in the lab
Working in 5G simulations testing signal processing, including in AI/ML
Assisting in the investigation of issues uncovered during testing
Lab equipment configuration and set-up
Generating test data for design validation
Reviewing software designs and test plans
Execute test manually on 5G lab equipment
Developing test tools and/or test scripts
Reporting on test results
Developing command-line and web-based tools, to support software development
You will bring
• Technical requirements: Software development and debugging skills; knowledge of programming languages, Java, Python,. Javascript, Typescript, HTML/CSS, Java, C/C++ are assets.
• Strong assets include experience with Linux, Gerrit, Git, Jenkins and Spinaker
• Experience in test automation and related tools like TestNg, Junit is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of LTE and/or 5G wireless protocols
• Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. (bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree)
• Interpersonal skills: Independent, self-starter, team player, organization skills, detail oriented and able to work in a dynamic environment.
• Effective English oral and written communications skills.
