Expert/Manager - Workday
Job Summary: Selects, develops and evaluates staff to ensure efficient operation of the function. Responsible for directing and executing day-to-day operations. Oversees delivery of services or functions of the group in accordance with organizational objectives. Recommend and implement operational improvements. Participates in annual budget process, periodic forecasting, and periodic analysis of operations performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead the IT team responsible for the Workday application, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the Workday platform to align with business objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging Workday to improve business processes.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Workday-related projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status effectively.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance and support for the Workday application, including configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Stay updated on the latest Workday features and best practices to ensure the platform is utilized to its full potential.
- Coordinate with vendors and external partners to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure the stability, security, and performance of the Workday application.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for system use and data management.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.
- Team Development:
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Identify training and development opportunities for team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years of experience managing Workday applications.
- Proven experience in leading and managing IT teams.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and drive innovation.
Preferred Skills:
- Workday certification(s).
- Experience with Workday integrations and reporting.
- Knowledge of HR processes and systems.
