About this opportunity:
We are seeking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Government and Industry Relations expert at Ericsson. This key role actively shapes the legislative and regulatory environment to foster business growth both for Ericsson and our customers. The candidate will be responsible for strategic engagement and interaction with governments, authorities, and industry organizations, with a focus on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) policies, legislation, and trade regulations. This role will also play a crucial part in Sales Compliance, securing the Ericsson brand reputation and nurturing customer and investor trust.
What you will do:
  • Influence government and industry policy, legislation, and regulations to optimize strategic growth opportunities.
  • Government and Industry Relations India is currently a 7-member team. This team is primarily responsible for advocating for favorable regulatory frameworks that have a positive impact on Ericsson business through proactive engagements with key government and industry stakeholders. (Ministries/DoT/TRAI/Industry bodies etc). This hire will help anticipate geopolitical dynamics (sanctions, export-control measures, manufacturing partnerships, etc.) and support in mitigating supply chains risks.
    Critical stakeholder management and excellent communication skills.
    Track and analyze global geopolitical developments (trade tensions, sanctions, technology restrictions, supply chain shifts, multilateral/bilateral engagements) and assess their impact on the company's India business strategy.
    Experience in relevant projects and key achievements in the area of government advocacy in the telecom sector.

  • Fengage in high-level interactions with respective authorities and organizations to position Ericsson as a thought leader in the ICT sector.
  • Provide strategic advice on legislative and regulatory matters to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement advocacy strategies and initiatives in accordance with Ericsson's business goals.
  • Oversee sensitive business matters, ensuring aligned actions with our corporate values and guidelines.
  • Foster customer and investor trust through thought leadership and expert advice in sales compliance.
