Position: Senior CAE Engineer – Safety (Crash Analysis)
Experience: 5 to 10 years
Location: Chennai
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out safety virtual simulations for vehicle crash analysis and performance evaluation.
- Perform FE model building and integration using ANSA.
- Conduct pre-processing (part meshing & integration), analysis (Pam Crash / LS-DYNA), and post-processing (Metapost).
- Support correlation activities with test data and ensure alignment with global safety regulations.
- Provide design recommendations and technical insights for improving structural crashworthiness and occupant safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address CAE safety requirements in upcoming programs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by adopting scripting/automation and AI-based tools for efficiency.
Technical Skills & Expertise
- Crash Analysis: Minimum 5 years of experience in CAE safety domain.
- FE Model Building & Integration: At least 2 years hands-on experience.
- Tools Proficiency: ANSA, Primer, LS-DYNA (mandatory), Metapost.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle architecture, nomenclature, and safety regulations.
- Sound understanding of Classical & Applied Mechanics, particularly Strength of Materials.
- Good awareness of physics fundamentals and ability to apply logical reasoning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Mechanical / Automotive / Aerospace Engineering (preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- High learning aptitude with a curious, inquisitive, and responsible mindset.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
