Block is one company built from many blocks, all united by the same purpose of economic empowerment. The blocks that form our foundational teams - People, Finance, Counsel, Hardware, Information Security, Platform Infrastructure Engineering, and more - provide support and guidance at the corporate level. They work across business groups and around the globe, spanning time zones and disciplines to develop inclusive People policies, forecast finances, give legal counsel, safeguard systems, nurture new initiatives, and more. Every challenge creates possibilities, and we need different perspectives to see them all. Bring yours to Block.
The Role
At Block, we take a forward-looking approach to credit, building products that expand access while maintaining strong consumer protections. Our philosophy, described in our Modern Approach to Credit whitepaper, guides how we design and build lending products with fairness, transparency, and responsibility at the core.
Block is committed to fair lending as a core pillar of how we design and build our products, shaping the way we develop, test, and scale products. The Fair & Responsible Lending Lead, reporting to Block's Head of Consumer Protection, will lead the strategy and daily operation of Block's Fair & Responsible Lending Program.
