Description
The Role:
Consolidate monthly budget & forecast for GMNA finished vehicle (outbound) logistics. Drive financial transparency, forecasting accuracy, and cost optimization efforts across vehicle transportation and logistics operations. Analyze business results and explain operational drivers to leadership through monthly reporting package. Partner cross-functionally with logistics operations, purchasing, and regional FP&A teams to provide insights on budget performance, forecast risk mitigation and strategic initiatives. Drive company profitability through enterprise cost optimization.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
  • Monitor and report on finished vehicle logistics expenditures (e.g., standard freight, offsite yards, spot buys, fulfillment centers, etc.), identifying trends, variances, and opportunities.
  • Support forecasting processes to anticipate spend in alignment with current macro environment and enterprise priorities.
  • Support budget & LTP development and target-setting for vehicle logistics operations.
  • Navigate current US tariff environment and support mitigation strategies.
  • Identify and drive cost reduction initiatives through data-driven insights.
  • Drive efficiencies through process improvements, standardization and leveraging technology.
  • Collaborate on ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic projects and leadership decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate financial policies.
  • Demonstrate GM behaviors, commitment to personal development and dedication to building a positive Workplace of Choice culture.
    Yours Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
  • Experience with finance software applications (SAP, Hyperion)
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to operate independently and self-motivated
  • Location: Hybrid. This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Global HQ Warren, MI three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business]
