About the RoleWe are looking for a Finance Manager to support a controllership function for US based startup. This role sits within the India-based finance team and works closely with founders & leadership team on compliance, reporting, and controllership matters. The ideal candidate combines strong Indian accounting fundamentals with a working knowledge of US GAAP and compliance frameworks, gained through prior experience in a SaaS or GCC environment.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Own and manage month-end and quarter-end close processes in line with the requirements
- Set up and lead the controllership on reporting, reconciliations, and compliance deliverables
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and statutory compliance requirements relevant to the entity
- Partner with cross-functional teams (India and US) to streamline financial processes and reporting timelines
- Drive process improvements and standardization across controllership workflows
- Support internal and external audit requirements, including liaising with auditors on queries
- Prepare financial schedules, variance analyses, and management reports as needed
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (India) with 4–6 years of experience
- Current or prior experience working within a SaaS OR GCC (Global Capability Center) set up in India, with direct exposure to a US country.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, along with Indian accounting standards
- Excellent communication skills, given the need to coordinate closely with US-based stakeholders.
