Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions across all Docsumo entities (India, international subsidiaries, contractors, etc.)
- Ensure strong bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial hygiene across bank accounts, vendors, and customers- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and vendor reconciliations
- Prepare and own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Build and manage budgets, cash flow forecasts, and runway tracking.
- Provide variance analysis and insights to leadership.
- Track SaaS-specific metrics such as revenue, collections, burn, and operating costs.
- Ensure accurate and timely salary processing.
- Manage employee reimbursements, vendor payments, rent, utilities, and subscriptions.
- Maintain expense controls and approval workflows.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
- Handle GST, TDS, and other tax filings with external consultants
- Support audits, due diligence, and investor reporting -Coordinate with employees on payroll and taxation-related queries
- Improve finance processes, documentation, and internal controls
- Own accounting systems and ensure clean, audit-ready data
- Support finance automation and scaling of operations as the company grows
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in finance or accounting (preferably in SaaS, startups, or multi-entity setups)
- Strong hands-on experience with accounting software (Zoho, QuickBooks, Xero, Tally, or similar)
- Solid understanding of Indian taxation (GST, TDS, payroll) and basic international finance
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate in a fast-moving startup environment
