As a Financial Analyst in the Planning & Analysis department at JPMorgan Chase within the Strategy and Growth Office (SGO) Finance and Business Management team, you will be responsible for supporting the strategic and financial priorities across the International Consumer Bank, Latin America (specifically C6 Bank), and the Global Corporate Strategy team.
In this role, you will need to adapt to a rapidly evolving and expanding business environment. There are numerous processes to be established and enhanced, providing you with an opportunity to grow within the team. We are an inclusive, progressive business and you will be involved in daily stand-ups with the London team and serve as true partners to the organization. You will be part of a new SGO Planning & Analysis team in Mumbai, supporting the business and the overall global corporate organization.
Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in producing and reporting of the monthly Executive Management Report (EMR) for P&L, balance sheet and headcount across all SGO businesses.
  • Produce monthly management reports, and report to the business on material variances between actuals and budget
  • Work with our data team on the automation of the various manual processes required to enrich the GL with additional information required by the business.
  • Support the wider Firmwide teams (e.g. Corporate P&A, LEC) on all queries relating to SGO financial performance.
  • Assist in the production of insightful materials for quarterly earnings prep, Investor Day prep, Jamie business review presentations and OC offsites for senior management.
  • Partnering with the London P&A team and business / data teams on ad-hoc financial modelling to support the development and cost-benefit analysis of new business ideas.
  • Contributing to strategic projects including the development of long-term integrated modelling and data analytics capabilities


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Formal training or certification in Accounting, Finance and 2+ years experience in Planning & Analysis
  • Good interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Self-starter who can work in a fast paced, results driven environment.
  • Demonstrate reasonable analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to navigate multiple data sets and synthesize into cohesive presentation and recommendations.
  • Flexibility to work under pressure to meet changing work requirements and strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, auditable record keeping and control mindset
  • Experience of leading and developing junior members of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel (Pivot table and vlookup), Outlook, Word and PowerPoint


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience of VBA development or any Anaplan knowledge would be an advantage
