The Firelight Developer acts as a technical liaison in the insurance industry, managing vendor relationships, overseeing platform enhancements, and supporting sales integrations while possessing deep technical and business expertise.
- Requirements
- Strong understanding of US Insurance background -Annuities.
- Industry expertise with key vendors to support new onboarding, platform maintenance and configuration, and ongoing enhancements including Firelight(Wizard and Forms), AN4 and Affirm etc.
- Extensive knowledge in product profile, distributor profile, forms xml, in support of the various order entry platforms, using VTXML/XMLspy.
- Extensive familiarity with the DTCC record layouts, field definitions, and file types (position files, license, compensation).
- Technical liaison between MassMutual business partners, industry vendors, and distribution partners.
- Ability to brainstorm and research/resolve issues from our Distribution Partners on business-to-business services.
- Previous experience with working with outside carriers/distributors/firms.
- Provide project support on an as needed basis to help set direction-based industry experience as well as internal system capabilities.
- Ability to flex between subject matter expertise, may take on project assignments outside of technology initiatives.
- Quick learner to get up to speed with MassMutual practices and industry position.
- Interaction with distribution directly to support new sales integration.
- Ability to consult internally to help MassMutual initiatives set direction regarding future capabilities.
- Direct representation for MassMutual at industry meetings qualified to spearhead working groups setting MassMutual direction driving initiatives forward.
- Ability to represent as a leader in both a business and technology capacity.
- Must be an industry expert for both carrier/distributors supporting both business & technology.
- May be escalation contact for key partner (internal & external) issues.
- Knowledge of both sides of the order entry process (Distributor and Carrier).
- Established working relationship with the current Order Entry Vendors.
